Principal’s Welcome
Welcome to Brightest Beginnings Academy where we specialize in Special Needs and are committed to doing big things. As a school leader what matters most to me is that the academy is for the kids and that everything we do, the decisions made from top to bottom, should be about what is best for our students.
For me, nothing is more important than student learning, and truly effective learning is done by design. To maximize our school’s potential, student learning is purposefully woven into everything we do from the curriculum and policies to the paint on the walls. Great schools are places where members of the community work together towards a clear and common goal.
We all must work together to create a clear vision and when we do teaching and learning becomes a partnership among administration, teachers, parents, and students. This in turn leads to a successful school strongly rooted in a shared vision and a common sense of mission and purpose. We Must: Teach meaningful 'stuff ‘, Listen to our kids, Be interesting, Be inspiring, Be passionate, Be caring, Be civil, and Model respect and good behavior.
Every child has a right to a safe and secure learning experience, and it is our goal to make Brightest Beginnings a place where students can thrive emotionally, be challenged both physically and academically, a place where learning, achievement, and growth are the core mission of everyone. Please visit us and see for yourself what Brightest Beginnings is all about.
Sincerely
Lynda Bishop
Principal

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
We believe that diversity is more than tolerance or accommodation; it is an informed understanding and acceptance of people, whose sense of identity is shaped by a variety of factors, including race, color, national origin, religion or creed, gender, family composition, economic status, age, and learning style. We believe such inclusivity is an ongoing process that enriches our school community and prepares our children for a global, multicultural world. We are committed to building a diverse community and supporting students, parents, faculty, and staff through classroom instruction, professional development, and extra-curricular programming.
